This roast is a real crowd pleaser! Light roast drinkers will enjoy the balanced juicy body with a sweetness throughout while darker roast drinkers will enjoy the warm cherry forward flavor. This coffee would pair well with some lemon bars, strawberry pie or your favorite PB & J sandwich.
Located in the Nyamasheke region of Rwanda’s Western Province, the Macuba milling site services nearly 500 coffee farmers for both wet and dry process coffee. For dry
processing, the folks at Macuba filter out the low density coffee cherries by placing them in water and removing those that float to the top. The more dense cherries are then laid out on raised beds in the sun, hand turned and inspected on a regular basis for a few weeks to yield a consistently even green coffee.
